In working with rescue animals, we often hear some amazing stories of animals overcoming incredible odds. This one may take the cake! Luna Lovegood came to us from another shelter in October xxxx. She had been brought there by a couple who live on a houseboat in Portage Bay. One day they were outside and Luna swam up onto their houseboat!! They have no idea how Luna got in the water or how long she'd been motoring around out there. After attempts to locate an owner were unsuccessful, the couple brought her to the shelter to find a home. Luna needed some medical treatment when she arrived at Purrfect Pals, which we were happy to provide. We treated her for hyperthyroidism and now she's ready to find a forever home where she'll be kept safely indoors. Poor Luna has had quite a difficult journey and now she's been awaiting a home for many months, so we'd love to see her go home soon! Luna is a very nice kitty who loves attention and sitting in laps. She is picky about the cats she likes to hang out with, but a calmer, older cat would probably be okay. Please come meet this little survivor and consider opening your home to her. Let's show Luna what true love is! Like all Purrfect Pals kitties, she has been altered, microchipped, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms and tested for FIV and Leukemia.
